Spiritually Poor

Spiritual laziness leads to spiritual poverty, where righteousness is neglected, prayer becomes brief, and reading feels like a chore. Just like weeds and thorns that harm a garden, distractions can pull us away from God and hinder our growth. In times of peace, it’s easy to fall into complacency, but these moments should be used to prepare for spiritual challenges. Isaiah 55:6-13 reminds us to seek God and stay vigilant to avoid the breakdown of our spiritual defenses.
